It is estimated that the word porcelain is derived from the word "Porsella", which means oyster in Latin. The ones who introduced porcelain to Europe were Portuguese traders who discovered various sea routes, especially Marco Polo.
WHAT IS PORCELAIN?
Porcelain; It is a member of the large ceramic group consisting of products made of raw materials, all of which are made of clay soil or, in other words, clay containing raw materials. The features it has due to the techniques used in its production and the raw materials used in its production, provide many uses for porcelain. There are 3 basic elements that make up porcelain. These are the substances called Quartz, Kaolin and Feldspar. Each of them comes together to form a perfect structure thanks to the features they have.
Porcelain; It is described as a healthy product that is produced only from raw materials of natural origin, gets its whiteness not from the dyes used, but from the raw materials used, is cooked at around 1400 C, has a light transmittance.
